Research: Circulation Figures.

A circulation figure is a the number a certain item has done something, in the case of magazines, it is usually the number of times the magazine has been bought or read. In this post I will look at other magazines, particularly Q Magazine and look at what aim I would have to set for my own magazine.

Q Magazines Circulation: 88,240
NME Magazines Circulation: 33,875
Kerrang! Magazines Circulation: 42,967

These three magazines are some of the biggest music magazines in the UK however, upon finding their circulation figures, I discovered that these may not be the most recent figures and the I found no information stating when they got these figures (they could have gained or loss a significant amount of audience members, and the numbers above would not have changed.) However, these numbers have made me realise the large number of people that buy Q Magazine, 88,240 is a lot of people who are willing to pay around £5, or for a subscription, for a monthly magazine.

As my audience consists of teenagers and young people my price range will be considerably lower, £3 being the highest, and my magazine will be released more frequently, possibly every two weeks, in order for my audience to keep up to date with music news.
