Once I have met up with my artist I will have to be prepared with a series of open questions that will allow my artist to keep talking and gain information for my interview. I will have to keep my questions focussed on my artist and her music, below are a few questions that I have thought of and why I chosen them - these are subject to change!
What is your biggest music inspiration? - This questions allows the audience to know which artists this artist admires and gets their idea from, not only will this show much of a fan of music the artist is, it will also tell the audience that "If you like me, you'll love [insert name here]"
Out of the songs that you have written, which one was the hardest/easiest? - This question is a target for my Aspirers in my audience, as some of them may be attempting to write songs themselves. Here my artist will be able to give advice to want to be singer/song writers who desire to be like her.
What was your first performance like? - Like all artists, she has to start somewhere. This question will remind the audience that my artist had to work hard in order to get where she is today, an anecdote or a whole paragraph on first gig nerves will allow the audience to connect to her as well as remind the audience that she once was considered a "nobody" in the music industry.
I will gain more information of question to ask my artist once I buy my copy of Q Magazine and look at some online interviews.
